Scenes from Brindejon

Since Brindejon is a farm, there are many things  to see and do.  So those dogs did more than just rumble.  They also got to wander around and look at things, and generally got in trouble.  Anytime it got quiet; we had to go check.  Just like with a little kid. Below are a few scenes from this playground.

One funny picture shows Bella banished to the outside while we were eating dinner.   Our dog, Elly, also got banished to her own cabin. All that play made those dogs hungrier than ever.  We know our dog is not trustworthy and we suspect that Bella might be willing to learn a few tricks on how to steal Christmas roasts from the counter or bacon from the breakfast table.

And as an afterward: both dogs slept for two days straight after we came home.  Then the old lively Bella returned.  My mom asked if she could borrow Elly for two months.  The answer is no, but we will return and let them play.  Bob wants to make a new table.

Author: Heres to ART not Cockroaches

Welcome to my life. My life as a mom is changing as the kids grow up, leave home, and build their own lives. This gives me a chance to rebuild myself as an artist, develop a spiritual path, and most fun of all, start going out on dates with my husband. Come here the stories about the small things in life that can make one very happy. Dogs running on a beach, great breakfast dates, kids and their adventures, and my own adventures in this wacky life. I'll share some of my progress in learning art while juggling a full time job as an engineer. And best of all, it's a chance for me to practice writing stories while keeping in touch with my kids. I look forward to hearing from you. Comments, thoughts, and invitations to meet for coffee are all welcomed. Enjoy the stories.
