Getting Hives

This morning Bob and I were talking about going to the wild animal park recently renamed the San Diego Safari Adventure. There is a new tiger exhibit that is supposed to be fantastic. Put in the pine tree forest, there are many viewing areas so you can actually see the tigers. For years, it was always a rare event to see them in their original exhibit. Bob once saw a rabbit get into the exhibit. From the underbrush, a tiger sprang out and captured that rabbit; good snack for the tiger. But he said that until the tiger moved, he had no idea that was where the tiger was hiding.

So as part of this great adventure with two bacterial infections, I’m taking sulfa antibiotics. And before going to visit the park, thought I would check why the doctor said don’t go out in the sunlight. Well, it turns out these drugs can cause photosensitivity. Basically even a brief exposure to sunlight can cause hives. And I got them. Very Very Itchy Hives which spread all over the body. I had been thinking my hives was the result of stress and bad shampoo. But now I’m convinced that I experienced this photosensitivity. It’s horrible; so a trip to the wild animal park is not on my todo list. Wonder if there are any good movies playing?
