More Charlie and Elly Photos

A friend of mine commented that these two would become good friends. And they are learning how to interact with each other. Bob got a new toy for charlie–a ball that moves around in a circular track. He had that as a toy when he was in the animal shelter and obviously recognized the toy with joy. Elly thought it was very interesting, she wanted to eat the ball. But after a little bit of training, she began pushing the ball with her tongue and nose. Charlie on the other side would push it back. Very touching to watch.

And after playing, Elle has to get the last lick in.

Later on, Charlie and Elly had a bit of a rough housing session on the bed. Charlie is rough, Elly tries and in this case succeeded at being gentle.

Welcome to my life. My life as a mom is changing as the kids grow up, leave home, and build their own lives. This gives me a chance to rebuild myself as an artist, develop a spiritual path, and most fun of all, start going out on dates with my husband. Come here the stories about the small things in life that can make one very happy. Dogs running on a beach, great breakfast dates, kids and their adventures, and my own adventures in this wacky life. I'll share some of my progress in learning art while juggling a full time job as an engineer. And best of all, it's a chance for me to practice writing stories while keeping in touch with my kids. I look forward to hearing from you. Comments, thoughts, and invitations to meet for coffee are all welcomed. Enjoy the stories.

  1. The last picture brought tears to my eyes. It shows the love they already have for each other. How joyful it must be to watch them. I will have Sierra, my son’s dog, for ten days next month. That toy looks awesome. Would love to treat her to such an experience. Where can I get one?
