Quick Status Update for Bob

On my own with 3 cats, 1 hungry snake, and 8 fish for company. Drinking a glass of wine and waiting for Bob’s stew to finish heating. It’s been a sort of useful day, got some work done although not much. Went to class and saw aluminum being poured. That’s fun. And now I’m home waiting for dinner. But since Bob cooked a huge pot of stew, no work needed to prepare dinner.

Bob and Elly left this morning on vacation. First stop is my parents house where they get to see the new kitchen. Elly got doggy downers (aka left over pain killer pills from when she was spayed as a puppy), so she slept well on the 10 hour drive. Tomorrow Bob might get to see a potential tractor for my parents and then mow acres of meadow for them. Sounds like a fun vacation. This coming weekend he’ll go see Miss Maggie and take her lots of great stuff. There is her red light camera ticket, replacement cards from her wallet getting lost, and some bank statements. But she gets some fun stuff–a piano and lots of good music. Mom picked the music, so of course it has some eclectic tunes. HOpe you like the Dean music, can’t even remember the name. But there are great pictures of this guy half naked surrounded by lots of women in various bikini’s and other short items. He was considered a great playboy in some past era.

Bob–I like this picture of you. Hope your having a great trip and take lots more pictures. Only make them better than this.

Author: Heres to ART not Cockroaches

Welcome to my life. My life as a mom is changing as the kids grow up, leave home, and build their own lives. This gives me a chance to rebuild myself as an artist, develop a spiritual path, and most fun of all, start going out on dates with my husband. Come here the stories about the small things in life that can make one very happy. Dogs running on a beach, great breakfast dates, kids and their adventures, and my own adventures in this wacky life. I'll share some of my progress in learning art while juggling a full time job as an engineer. And best of all, it's a chance for me to practice writing stories while keeping in touch with my kids. I look forward to hearing from you. Comments, thoughts, and invitations to meet for coffee are all welcomed. Enjoy the stories.
