Bested at mental games and laughing on the way home

Tonight driving home from work, I heard an old gem “Boot to the Head” by The Frantics. I was laughing so much that I had to listen to the song twice. For those who haven’t had the pleasure of listening to this song, it’s a great melody talking about Tae Kwon Leap with lesson of Ed Gruberman. Funny as all get-out, this song was a staple on Dr. Demento. Well worth the time to listen. Here’s a website that gives the lyrics and an mp3 version of the song.

Just as well I spent the time laughing, because for the second day in a row, I loose the mental games. Bob has been getting perfect scores i.e. completing the new york times crossword puzzles while I can’t even complete an easy sudoko. The proof is in the pictures. Oh well, perhaps next week or tomorrow I’ll win.

Welcome to my life. My life as a mom is changing as the kids grow up, leave home, and build their own lives. This gives me a chance to rebuild myself as an artist, develop a spiritual path, and most fun of all, start going out on dates with my husband. Come here the stories about the small things in life that can make one very happy. Dogs running on a beach, great breakfast dates, kids and their adventures, and my own adventures in this wacky life. I'll share some of my progress in learning art while juggling a full time job as an engineer. And best of all, it's a chance for me to practice writing stories while keeping in touch with my kids. I look forward to hearing from you. Comments, thoughts, and invitations to meet for coffee are all welcomed. Enjoy the stories.
