Welcome Bella

I have a new niece, a doggy niece.  Bob says that it’s more my sister than my niece.  I disagree, it’s a doggie cousin to my daughters and thier doggy sibling Elle.  In any case, Welcome Bella.  We are delighted to have you become part of our family.  Yep, that’s right, my parents got a new dog.  Sister or cousin, it doesn’t matter.  We will have fun together.  I can’t wait to come visit.  Elle can’t wait come back to doggy wonderland and will probably be excited to find a new puppy at Brindejon.  Mitzi might even come and join them as well.  Here are some pictures of Bella sent via my mom.  She looks like a lively labradoodle pup; ready to provide lots of joy to my folks.  Bob says this one looks more like a poodle than Sadie, so hopefully she won’t shed.  But it won’t matter, we’ll come visit as soon as possible.  Even Mary wants to come see the new family member.

Evidently, like a new baby, she was active the first night at home.  At midnight, she had stayed enough hours in the new crate and wanted to do something.  That meant going outside and going potty, big deal stuff in Brindejon.  Scary as well, she got frightened in the dark and waited to get back inside before piddling in the hall.  What else do you expect from a baby dog.  So my folks spent the remainder of the night sitting outside watching the dog play on the porch.  I understand that the doggy equivalent of baby gates went up first thing the next morning.  No more slipping between posts on the porch.

Girls don’t forget to say hello to your new sister.  GMOM and GDAD Lohmann will be delighted to hear from you.

Welcome to my life. My life as a mom is changing as the kids grow up, leave home, and build their own lives. This gives me a chance to rebuild myself as an artist, develop a spiritual path, and most fun of all, start going out on dates with my husband. Come here the stories about the small things in life that can make one very happy. Dogs running on a beach, great breakfast dates, kids and their adventures, and my own adventures in this wacky life. I'll share some of my progress in learning art while juggling a full time job as an engineer. And best of all, it's a chance for me to practice writing stories while keeping in touch with my kids. I look forward to hearing from you. Comments, thoughts, and invitations to meet for coffee are all welcomed. Enjoy the stories.
